The Organic Forms series was born out of an exploration: how can nature’s inherent beauty be captured through photography and translated into a digital experience? Created in collaboration with the artist duo DUAL, this project examined the intersection of natural elements and photography in the digital realm. Rather than focusing solely on traditional landscapes or static representations, we wanted to explore the deeper themes of organic beauty, transience, and the digital interpretation of the natural world.
DUAL’s signature style, which blends crisp photography with subtle digital enhancements, was taken even further in this collection. The focus shifted from simply showcasing flowers and natural forms to emphasizing their fleeting nature and the transformation that occurs when captured in the digital space. Each photograph in Organic Forms serves as a meditation on the impermanence of nature, where delicate floral details are captured and reimagined in a digital context, merging the tactile and the virtual.
When designing the installation for Organic Forms, we wanted the physical space to complement the photographs, enhancing the viewer’s experience of nature in both digital and tangible forms. The photographs were projected across walls, creating a dynamic environment where visitors could interact with the imagery in real-time. Embedded QR codes led to companion digital content, inviting visitors to engage with the work online and continue the experience beyond the gallery. This multi-dimensional approach allowed the photographs to evolve, creating an immersive experience that connected the physical and digital worlds.
The Organic Forms project represented a unique exploration of nature through the lens of digital photography, showing how organic beauty can transcend the limitations of traditional mediums and transform into an immersive experience that invites reflection on both the natural world and its digital representation.
